As a mom or any woman in the world we face challenges that weigh heavy daily. You have a world that doesn’t value you as much as far as the workforce goes. You have a family that will never understand what it takes every day to give yourself to them and it be expected. By the time the day has gone by you haven’t even had a chance to think about what it is you needed today, let alone accomplish it. You are normally up at odd hours of the night because this is your “Mommy Time”. Think about it, getting everything done during the most unproductive time of the day and starting the day off tired. You are waking up and walking into a hurricane. Your kids are screaming, your husband is stumbling around the house asking you where HIS stuff is, and you haven’t even had an opportunity to have a sip of coffee before you are ready to pull your hair out. Your brain needs an opportunity to get started before you start using it.

If you ever looked at an athlete or any successful person, they always talk about how they start their day to make sure they are prepared to take on whatever challenge lies ahead. Having a morning routine will give you at least one thing to expect in a day that is going to be full of the unexpected.
A morning ritual will help you boost your productivity and self – esteem. Think about if you could start your day off saying you accomplished something. You also will have the ability to get everything set in place and ready for the whirlwind of the day when the family wakes up or maybe you have a demanding job where everyone relies on you. It is also a way for you to develop healthy habits.

A morning routine does not have to be rigid. It can be for 15 minutes just taking some time to yourself. The best approach to this is having a routine for each type of day you expect. If you know the kids have a million activities the next day or maybe you have a big presentation at work, you may want to have a longer morning routine to prepare for everything. If you go to bed late you may want to make a short morning routine just so you can get more sleep.

The most important of this is the how. Practice makes perfect, there are many ways to develop your own routines. You must remember Rome was not built over night. Allow yourself grace to work through the challenges of developing a healthy morning that works for you. As much as you love being there for your family trust me, they need it more than they will ever know or appreciate.

The FairyGodBoss.com goes into detail to what a morning routine looks like to set their day up for success. Everyone is different so you should be looking at your day and how best to start it.
